Hello. I'm Darlene, the founder of Rank Astra. We're a staffing and marketing agency (did I put that too lightly?).
I started Rank Astra with a vision - to connect young talent with companies experimenting with their marketing strategy and tactics. I'm an ex-guest lecturer and have worked 17 years in marketing. An accident in 2020 put my life on halt as I lost my voice. Yet, that did not stop me from helping students and marketing-forward brands. While I was unable to contnue my teaching journey, I decided to create a brand that would facilitate on-the-job learning.
Rank Astra helps students match with high-growth and learning opportunities at brands across USA and Canada. We envision a future with AI-assisted operations, fractional work and high creativity.

We do not support unpaid labour.
Many of our placements are unpaid or stipend-based, and we say that plainly, because we believe in honesty over optics. What we promise instead is something harder to find: genuine, hands-on experience at brands that are actively experimenting, growing and open to hiring the talent they work with. Every Rank Astra placement is a live audition. Students who show up fully will leave with a portfolio, a network, and in many cases, a full-time offer from the brand they helped build.
